Perennial Public Power District is offering
a $1,000 per year scholarship to a student planning to attend an
accredited utility line college.
Applicant Guidelines:
- Applicants must reside within Perennial’s
service area to be eligible for a scholarship
- Applicants must fill out and submit the attached application
to be considered for a scholarship
- Applicant must attend an accredited utility line college.

Who is Perennial
Perennial Public Power District located in York, Nebraska serves over
7,000 customers in York and Fillmore counties including the towns of
Benedict, Exeter, Grafton, Gresham, Henderson, Lushton, McCool Junction,
Milligan, Ohiowa, Strang, Thayer and Waco. Perennial is a strong and
growing company which is experiencing a record high workload for new
construction and maintenance. Combine that with the fact that some
senior line technicians with many years of experience are nearing retirement
age, Perennial is anxious to train and hire new line technicians for
the future.
This scholarship program is aimed at highly motivated and safety-conscious
individuals who want to become line technicians. Perennial does not guarantee
future employment through this program but recipients will receive strong
consideration.
